Dave’s Hot Chicken

About Dave’s Hot Chicken

Dave’s Hot Chicken is a street-food–turned–fast-casual concept built around Nashville-style hot chicken—tenders and sliders defined by bold, spicy flavors. The brand’s identity is high‑contrast and energetic, favoring condensed, uppercase typography and a vivid red and yellow palette that reads as heat and urgency. Presented here as a Distinct Sign Solutions portfolio entry, the project focused on translating that digital look into physical environments. Signage and environmental graphics were designed to preserve the brand’s streetwise attitude while ensuring clear readability in busy retail settings. The visual approach used strong color fields, condensed type inspired by the site’s Barlow Condensed family, and simplified forms to achieve a cohesive storefront presence and interior wayfinding that reinforce the fast‑casual, menu‑forward experience.
